correlates with images on iNat [Research Grade] and ALA of Eochrois acutella. Not so with BOLD images however. https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations?taxon_id=714698 https://bie.ala.org.au/species/https://biodiversity.org.au/afd/taxa/9826cb1f-5a9a-4b56-8656-0ff32abd8894#gallery https://portal.boldsystems.org/bin/BOLD:AAE3024

this moth resembles Plectobela sp. The size and shape of the brown ring is closest to P. ecliptica but all those illustrated on BOLD (Hobern) have a brown patch on the thorax. P zanclotoma does not have this patch but the ring on the wing is smaller.

Yes, on second thoughts I'm not sure this Olbonoma genus. It lacks the small 'tick' mark dorsally that o. tryptycha have, I have a vague recollection of seeing this moth before. Trying to recall....

Yes, so have I Ian, and I have photographed several like that but this one seems a bit different somehow. Maybe it is still just a variation.

I have always understood a minority of O. triptycha lack the transverse dark bar admidships on the forewing. For exaple:-
