Update on our Gang-gang study

Thanks to all those hundreds of you that have contributed to our Gang-gang research. We have found that Gang-gangs have a very catholic diet, with over 180 food items reported. We also now know that they have have differing breeding times across their range (which provides some hope that  chicks in the northern part of the range may fledge prior to very high summer temperatures). Your reports and follow up work also suggest that at least in the Canberra area Brushtail Possums may be a bigger concern to Gang-gang survival than competition from other hollow nesters such as the Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, Galah or Rainbow Lorikeet.
